AOII Sorority House Renovation

AOII Sorority House Renovation

In 2018, Mills Group was engaged to rehabilitate the Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII) sorority house in Morgantown, originally comprised of two separate residential structures. The existing layout and aesthetic lacked the unified identity and functionality AOII sought to present to current members, alumni, and prospective recruits.

The renovation focused on creating a cohesive and modern living environment while addressing key life safety and accessibility concerns. A refreshed basement-level entry was designed to provide a welcoming arrival experience, leading to renovated main living spaces above. The kitchen and dining areas were completely reimagined to better serve the needs of the in-house chef and accommodate full sorority meals.

The house director’s suite was strategically relocated to offer enhanced privacy and upgraded amenities, while a nearby conference room was added for meetings and chapter business.

The 3,000-square-foot renovation, completed in summer 2019 by Jarrett Construction Services, was a collaborative effort with AOII international representatives, Allegheny Design Services (MEP and structural engineering), and Studio Ten 25 (interior design). Mills Group provided full services from conceptual design through construction administration. The revitalized home welcomed members in time for the Fall 2019 semester at West Virginia University.
